DINITROL 964 leaves a hard, transparent, varnish-like, heat-resistant film which is difficult to remove after drying. DINITROL 964 provides long-term corrosion protection for iron, zinc and aluminium parts. DINITROL 964 is less suitable for parts made of cast iron. A test is recommended to confirm suitability in difficult cases. DINITROL 964 is specifically intended for use on surfaces exposed to high and low temperatures. Parts to be treated with DINITROL 964 are mostly engine housings, engines and other components that have to withstand high temperatures.
